2022.09.04 – Kennedy Space Center

by | Oct 10, 2022

Just a few pics from our trip to Kennedy Space Center during Labor Day Weekend. We mainly came to Cocoa Beach to try to catch the Artemis launch on Sept 3rd and the SpaceX Falcon 9 launch Sept 4th. Two rocket launches  in one weekend.

Well, we know Artemis did not happen. But we did end up spending an awesome time at the beach. Hitting the water, waves, etc. Myles tested out surfing.

We decided to check out Kennedy Space Center while in the area the next day. We’ve been before and was hoping the bus tour would drive next to Artemis since it was still on the launch pad. BUT the bus tour skipped that part unfortunately. That would have been an awesome sight to see. We got to see the usual attractions at KSC plus the new area we have not seen yet, Spaceport KSC. It was cool inside the building but the actual ride/experience was a bit underwhelming. Overall, we had a good time at the KSC.

We finished the evening watching a Falcon 9 launch at night. Watching a rocket launch at nice is just spectacular. It was our first. Check out my iPhone quality of the video below.
