Pacman Nebula. NGC 281. IC 11. SH2-184. A bright emission nebula that can be found in Milky Way’s Perseus Spiral Arm. We are looking at DSO that lies about 9500 light years away.

Does it look like Pacman? I think so. I think so.

Our second time imaging this target. The first time being back in 2020.11.02. We were just starting out then. We’re still amateurs but we have gotten better at the whole process both imaging and post processing side. These days I feel we are able polar align, guide, and focus better.  Our setting up process just has improved that we are able to get better images. Below is a zoomed in shot of the nebula and you can see much greater details captured. We were not able to get that detail back in 2020. It’s awesome to see the progression. 

There’s still work to be improved on. Especially on the post-processing side. I have been able to to edit better and more cleanly though I think there are some techniques I still need to learn. I’d like to get my images sharper and smoother looking.
