M31. Andromeda Galaxy.
I’ve tried several times to image M31. For most beginners it seemed like an easy target. For my location it should be. I’ve got great alignment with M31 from my backyard. However every time I tried my post-processing came with poor results. I don’t know why but no matter what exposure time I used, 1minute or 3 minute or 5 minute, I could never bring about Andromeda properly. The images were not worth posting about.
Well, I finally had a successful post-processing of M31 and really it is amazing. I was able to capture 94 light images at 300s exposure time. The result above is one of my favorite images I have taken since jumping into this hobby. My son uses it has his school folder decoration.
