My second successful astro shot is the Triangulum Galaxy. AKA M33. AKA NGC 598. This sucker is 2.73 million light years away and has a cool spiral shape to it. From my backyard Andromeda and Triangulum Galaxy are visible all night long.
My post processing of this galaxy was better than when I did Andromeda. I felt I had to do curve less to bring out its form. I probably could have gotten a little more detail in the spiral but I think I was being more conservative when using Photoshop. Next time I’ll try to pull more color and detail from the spiral area.
Overall, for being my second shot I’m pretty happy with the results.
